One of the most talked about topics in the world today is about the health condition of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Sathya Baba has over 37 million followers in the world.

He was a person who spent most of his life to explain that everything in life is impermanent .

Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born on 23 November 1926 in the village of Puttrapahti in Andra Pradesh, India as Narayana Raju. His parents were Pedda Venkam Raju and Easwaramma and had four brothers and sisters. The two brothers were Sheshama Raju, Janaki Ramiah and the sisters were Wenkamma and Parvathamma .

He had an exemplary character and because of that people in his neighbourhood loved and respected him.

After some time he exhibited extraordinary powers and started calling himself Sathya Sri Sai Baba. It was believed that he was the re-incarnation of Shird Sai Baba of Shird, Mumbai.

On 20th October 1940 he declared that religions and sects in the world are divided and shas distorted the basic meaning of a religion and misled people.

He said that he is here in this world as a human being to re-establish the true doctrine.

He was gaining popularity and had a vast number of followers and this caused jealousy among others who started insulting him through devious means. But he was compassionate to all those who criticised him and attacked him. He explained the importance of all religions to mankind and said that no religion is above the other.

He said in his preachings that no one should insult any religion.

He said the best way to respect religious leaders was to follow the particular religion in a proper manner.

Today devotees of Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Hinduism come in droves to his ashram in Puthrapathi to pay homage to him.

Sathya Sri Sai Baba has built three fully fledged hospitals, pre-schools, universities, launched drinking water projects, providing of food to the needy free of charge.

In the hospitals established by him over 4500 heart, kidney, eye and neuro surgeries are performed every year free of charge. The world’s longest drinking water project was launched by him and it runs a distance of 4500 km from Pauttapaerthy to Chennai.

Those who really don’t know the services rendered by Sai Baba to mankind keep insulting him without any reason.

Today the 85 year old Sathya Sri Sai Baba is undergoing treatment at one of the hospitals he built for an ailment.
